I love oaks

There are more than 500 species of oak in the world. Only two of those are native to Denmark, Common or Pedunculate oak as well as Sessile Oak.

Oak is probably the wood that has been used the most by both people, animals and insects.

In Denmark more than 800 insects are dependent on the oaks. This is far more than most other plants - Only two to three species are dependent on for instance Syringa vulgaris.
