An intrigueing lamp, perhaps even “hyggelig”, with a simple design and a good story. The lamp itself has been turned from Danish oak from Hvalsø Sawmill. The glass has been creatively reused, ‘upcycled’ from old kerosene lamps. I have yet to come across two glasses similar in sizes and looks. The designs on the glasses vary from logos from past companies over bats to fabulous animals. Many of the glasses are nearing a hundred years and they all have small impurities and air bubbles from the way they where produced and small nicks from being used. All of this very charming to me. The use of selected oakwood and second hand glass makes every lamp unique. I came up with the idea for this lamp, when I found a lamp glass with a dragon from a lamp my grandfather owned. That lamp will not be put up for sale. The lamp is available in oiled and smoked oak. Fabric cable, plug and switch is black. Comes with one 25W E14 incandescent design bulb.
